1. Application

The cold filling gelly is specifically applicated for optical cables,it can prevent water or other fluid migrate into the cable, provide good water blocking ,buffering  or insulation performance for optical cable.

2. Description

The gelly is soft, transparent, silicon free,high thixotropic index,small acid value, low hydrogen generation and  good temperature performance between –40°C and 80°C. it has no nutrition for fungus,zero oil separation, excellent resistance to oxidation with long term stability.

3. Compatibility

It is compatible with most polymers, steel / aluminum tapes, steel wires and FRP’S. Tests on typical polymers and other materials show minimal interaction But it is recommended that compatibility tests are made with all materials likely to come into contact with the gel.

4. Processing

It is suitable for cold pumping and processing enabling cable filling without voids created by compound shrinkage. A line-synchronized gel metering system is available comprising of a discharge pump, filling head and a metering control unit for stable dosing.
